Prince2 brings predictability and control to NPI. Key benefits:

– “Manage by stages” principle – the project is divided into phases with formal decision points (“gates”) where further funding is approved, minimizing investment risk.

How do you assess and minimize risks in an NPI project?

We manage risks actively and systematically, according to Prince2. First, we create a risk register. Risks are regularly reviewed, evaluated (probability X impact), and each of them is assigned an owner responsible for preventive actions or an emergency plan. Thanks to our production experience, we can identify technical, logistical, and quality risks at an early stage that often elude project teams.

What happens when you need to make changes to the product design in the middle of a project?

All changes are managed by a formal Change Control procedure in accordance with Prince2. A Change Request is analyzed for its impact on volume, cost, time, quality, and risk. The decision is made by the Project Board. This protects the project from so-called "scope creep" and ensures that any changes are informed and documented.

How long does a typical NPI process take?

Depends on the complexity of the product. Simple implementations: 3-6 months. Complex projects with electronics and certificates: 6-12 months.

What happens if the prototype doesn't pass testing?

This is part of the process. Thanks to the "manage by stages" principle, you don't lose money on further stages. We analyze the causes (8D), go back to the design stage, and make adjustments. The risk is managed and limited to one stage.

How does the prototype testing and verification process work?

We perform functional tests (whether it works), environmental tests (resistance to temperature, moisture, shock), and strength tests (such as duty cycles). We use our own laboratory and test benches. Every nonconformity is documented, and we support the client in changing the design and retesting.

Do you help with the selection and qualification of component suppliers?

Yes. Based on the technical characteristics, we recommend proven suppliers from our database or conduct the qualification process for new ones. We check their production capacity, quality systems, and supply stability to minimize risks in the supply chain.
